The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment to providing high-quality meals in a fast-paced environment. As a Cook, you will play a crucial role in meal preparation, menu planning, and ensuring food safety standards are met. Your expertise in the food industry will contribute to creating delicious and nutritious meals for our guests. Duties Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menu plans. Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and standards. Assist in menu planning, considering dietary restrictions and preferences. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper storage of ingredients. Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives and other cooking tools. Collaborate with dietary aides and other kitchen staff to ensure smooth service during meal times. Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist with ordering as needed. Help train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols. Qualifications Previous experience in the food industry is preferred, with a strong understanding of food preparation techniques. Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations is essential. Ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented environment while maintaining high standards of quality. Strong knife skills and familiarity with various cooking methods. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks during busy service periods. A positive attitude with a willingness to help others in the kitchen.
