Prep Cook and Line Cook The Wicked Loon 27 South Main Street, Wolfeboro, NH 03894 Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a strong understanding of kitchen operations. As a Prep Cook, you will play a crucial role in meal preparation, ensuring that all ingredients are prepped and ready for our chefs to create delicious dishes. Your attention to detail and commitment to food safety will contribute to the overall success of our kitchen. Responsibilities Prepare and chop ingredients according to recipes and specifications. Assist in the cooking process by preparing sauces, stocks, and other components. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace. Follow food safety guidelines and ensure proper handling of all food items. Collaborate with chefs and kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation. Assist with inventory management by checking stock levels and notifying supervisors of shortages. Participate in catering events as needed, ensuring high-quality food presentation. Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives and other culinary tools. Requirements Previous experience in a kitchen environment preferred, with a focus on meal preparation. Knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations. Strong knife skills and familiarity with various cooking techniques. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent teamwork skills and the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff. A passion for the culinary arts and a desire to learn and grow within the food industry. Experience in catering or as a dietary aide is a plus but not required.
