The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are properly cleaned and sanitized. This position is essential for supporting our food service operations and contributing to a smooth workflow in the kitchen environment. Duties Wash and sanitize dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and kitchen equipment using industrial dishwashing machines or by hand. Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area by sweeping, mopping, and disposing of waste as needed. Assist with food preparation tasks as required, including basic food handling and prep work. Support cooks and kitchen staff during busy service periods by providing clean dishes and utensils promptly. Ensure that all cleaning supplies are stocked and report any shortages to the supervisor. Follow health and safety regulations regarding food handling and sanitation practices. Participate in catering events or banquets as needed, assisting with setup and cleanup. Requirements Previous experience in a kitchen environment is preferred but not required; training will be provided. Familiarity with food preparation techniques and food handling safety is a plus. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong organizational skills to keep the kitchen clean and orderly.
