Events Manager Ronald McDonald House Charities of Rochester NY 333 Westmoreland Drive, Rochester, NY 14620 Events Manager – Ronald McDonald House Charities Rochester The Events Manager is responsible for the planning, execution, and growth of Ronald McDonald House Charities of Rochester’s (RMHCR) signature events, third-party fundraisers, and stewardship receptions. This individual will play a vital role in advancing RMHCR’s mission by managing logistics, building community engagement, ensuring a consistent and meaningful donor experience, and leading event programming that meets fundraising and revenue goals. The ideal candidate brings creativity, strong organizational skills, and a team-oriented mindset to elevate RMHCR’s event efforts and deepen support from the community. The Events Manager will embody RMHCR’s mission and values, integrating them into all development initiatives. Responsibilities Event Strategy & Execution Lead the strategy, planning, and execution of RMHCR’s signature events including the annual gala, Casino Night, and Bee a Hero telethon, ensuring alignment with fundraising goals and mission. Ensure that all events support RMHCR’s strategic fundraising objectives and donor engagement goals. Develop and maintain event timelines, budgets, vendor relationships, and production schedules to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery. Participate in securing event sponsorships by identifying prospects, supporting outreach efforts, and stewarding sponsors in collaboration with the Development Team. Manage and support third-party fundraisers, providing guidance and resources to external organizers to enhance overall success and maintain brand consistency. Oversee stewardship events designed to thank, engage, and retain donors and key supporters throughout the year. Oversee special campaigns, matching gift challenges, or giving days designed to attract donors and increase visibility for the organization. Collaborate with the team to develop and implement Sports Marketing and community engagement events via partnerships with professional sports teams such as the Buffalo Bills and Rochester Red Wings, in support of RMHCR. Support all facets of fundraising, development, communications, and marketing efforts. Collaborative Leadership Collaborate with the Development Team to ensure a coordinated approach to donor engagement and stewardship. Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability within the development department.

Tracking & Reporting:

Utilize donor databases (CRM) and other tools to track progress on new event sponsor acquisition, pipeline development, and revenue generation. Prepare regular reports for leadership, detailing performance metrics such as revenue growth, and campaign outcomes. Ensure proper documentation and data mmmanagement for all prospect interactions, donations, and follow-up actions.

Experience Event Planning:

Demonstrated success planning and executing fundraising events from start to finish.

Project Management:

Skilled in developing timelines, managing logistics, and balancing competing priorities to ensure smooth event execution.

Communication:

Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills with a flexible and collaborative approach.

Organizational Skills:

Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.

Strategic Vision:

Ability to set event goals that align with broader organizational objectives and leading their implementation.

Ethics and Discretion:

High level of discretion and an ethical approach to fundraising.

Teamwork:

Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment. Familiarity with

Regulations:

Knowledge of 501(c)(3) regulations is a plus.

Education/Experience:

Bachelor’s degree preferred 4+ years of experience in event planning or development, preferably within a nonprofit organization. Prior experience planning galas is preferred

Job Type:
Full-time Pay:

$60,000.00 – $62,000.00 per year
