RESPONSIBILITIES

Create an environment that enables customers to feel welcome, important, and appreciated by answering questions regarding products sold within the department and throughout the store. Gain and maintain knowledge of products sold within the department and be able to respond to questions and make suggestions about products. Provide customers with the correct products ordered and the correct quantity & size (or as close as possible to the amount ordered) to prevent shrinkage. Inform customers of Meat specials & sales Check product quality to ensure freshness. Review “sell by” dates and take appropriate action. Label, stock, and inventory department merchandise. Report product ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department manager Ensure proper temperatures in cases and coolers are maintained and temperature logs are updated daily. Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines. Reinforce safety programs by complying with safety procedures and identifying unsafe conditions and notifying store management.

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Must be at least 18 years of age High School or GED Graduate, education is a must Must be able to lift up to 50lbs Adhere to temperature-controlled environment Adhere to all safety, health, weights, and measures regulations High standard of integrity and reliability Flexible work schedule & availability

Previous Job Experience:

Meat / Retail experience Preferred
