Duties Prepare and serve deli products, including meats, cheeses, salads, and sandwiches, ensuring high standards of quality and freshness. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the deli area, adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines. Assist customers with their selections, providing recommendations and upselling additional items to enhance their experience. Operate cash registers efficiently, handling cash transactions accurately while providing excellent customer service. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours, demonstrating effective time management skills. Monitor inventory levels and assist in restocking supplies as needed to maintain optimal product availability. Skills Experience in a quick service fast food restaurant or grocery store setting is preferred. Strong cash handling skills with a basic understanding of retail math for accurate transactions. Ability to upsell products effectively while maintaining a friendly demeanor with customers. Proficient in basic math skills for handling transactions and inventory management. Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently in a busy environment. Previous experience in sales or customer service within a restaurant or café setting is advantageous.
