In this role, you will be responsible for preparing a variety of sandwiches and ensuring that all food handling standards are met. Responsibilities Prepare and assemble sandwiches according to standard recipes and customer preferences. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and food preparation areas. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling techniques. Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively, including slicers, grills, and ovens. Assist customers by taking orders accurately using the POS system. Handle cash register transactions efficiently while providing excellent customer service. Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, reporting any shortages to management. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during peak hours. Experience Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred but not required. Familiarity with grocery store operations, retail math, and cash register systems is advantageous. Basic culinary skills and knowledge of food handling practices are essential. Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment. A customer-focused attitude with the ability to handle sales transactions effectively.
