Part-Time Mon-Fri Wine Bar Host 3.2 3.2 out of 5 stars Canton, NC 28716 Pisgah Inn on the Blue Ridge Parkway is hiring a Part-Time Wine Bar Host for our 2025 season. Our season is April 1 to Nov 1.

Days/Hours:

Wednesday and Thursday from 4 to 9pm

• Position Summary Meet and welcome guests to the Buck Springs Wine Bar. Learn about guests’ preferences, take drink orders and serve wine. Must have excellent customer service and people skills and use your initiative to meet customers’ high expectations. Major Responsibilities
• Greet all guests with a warm smile and a sincere welcome Take wine orders from guests accurately and with a positive attitude Engage with guests in a friendly manner Knowledge of fine wines, with the ability to make suggestions Handling cash, credit, and debit card transactions, ensuring charges are accurate and returning correct change to patrons, balancing the cash register Prepare checks that itemize and total wine costs and sales taxes • Maintain professional appearance as per handbook • Accurately take guest orders and enter into POS in a timely manner • Possess proficient knowledge of our fine wine menu • Practice safe alcohol service and proper wine service • Checking identification to ensure guests are the legal age to purchase alcohol • Taking inventory and ordering supplies to ensure bar is well-stocked with wine and glasses • Maintain a neat bar and room • Collect payment from guests • Maintain a positive working relationship with other employees • Perform other duties and tasks as assigned or requested • Alert manager to any issues • Meet with wine reps with the General Manager Requirements Meet state minimum age to serve alcohol Fine wine knowledge and presentation is a must Positive, engaging personality and professional appearance Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills Strong task and time management skills • Ability to read and write • Ability to take and follow instructions in both written and verbal form • Basic reading and math skills Ability and willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays Other Skills and Abilities • Ability to interact positively with supervisor, management, coworkers, and the public to promote a team effort and maintain a positive and professional approach.

Physical Requirements
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, etc. for extended periods
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds at a time
