Position Summary:
Are you ready to support others during their celebration? The Southern Tier Community Center is seeking an enthusiastic and organized Party Host to join our team! The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests, ensuring that all party activities run smoothly, and providing exceptional customer service. This role is perfect for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy working with diverse groups of people of all ages. Responsibilities Perform all party setup and breakdown of party areas, ensuring cleanliness and organization. Greet guests upon arrival and ensure they feel welcomed and comfortable. Must demonstrate the ability to work effectively with clients, families, staff and community contacts with a diversity of backgrounds and life situations. Check on the party about every 20 -30 minutes Have all guests sign facility rental and pool rules if they haven’t done so online. Coordinate party activities as required. Communicate effectively with guests to understand their needs and preferences. Provide excellent guest services by addressing inquiries and resolving any issues that may arise during the event. Collaborate with other staff members as needed or required Maintain a positive attitude while working under pressure during busy events. Good time management skills and ability to show up to work on time. Opportunity to cross train in the Welcome Center and fill in on-call shifts
Requirements Education:
Highschool Diploma/GED preferred
Experience:
6 months to 1 year experience in a customer service role At least 3-6 months experience events management, catering, food service or restaurant settings preferred Ability to multitask, problem solve, and manage time efficiently in a dynamic environment.
