Banquet Stagemen PUBLIC Hotel – 3.2 New York, NY Job Details Part-time From $21 an hour 18 hours ago Qualifications English Cleaning 1 year Leadership Entry level Kitchen experience Full Job Description A Banquet Stageman is required to set up and breakdown meetings and events in addition to maintaining the cleanliness and organization of all banquet spaces, hallways, storage and service areas. This is a fast-paced position that will involve continuous guest interaction and a constant change in venue setup. Ability to maintain a high level of enthusiasm, cooperation, and flexibility is required. This job is part-time.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Ensure all furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E) is set for each event according to the banquet event order (BEO) and event floor plan. Must be able to plan and organize efficiently and be able to work within the times specified in the BEO. Assist with the delivery of banquet supplies and rentals. Report any stains and damage of FF&E to Banquet management. Properly store FF&E in its proper location following every event. Maintain upkeep of Banquet equipment to ensure longest useable life. Maintain the cleanliness of Banquet event spaces before, after and during events. Maintain cleanliness and order of all storage and back of house areas. Maintain the cleanliness of men’s and ladies’ restrooms room on the event floor. Place bagged trash and recycling in designated dumpsters. Place soiled linen in bins for collection by the laundry company. Must be knowledgeable about PUBLIC i.e. location, cuisine, etc. Ensure that PUBLIC reporting procedures are aligned with applicable SOP. Ensure all hotel policies, standards and local laws are followed. Ensure sanitation fundamentals and Health Department requirements are met. Ensure compliance with all hotel safety policies and procedures at all levels. Maintain a high level of personal appearance and hygiene at all times. Must have the ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, late hours Must have the ability to report to work on time and when scheduled. Must have the ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time. Must have the ability to lift to (50-100) pounds. Must have the ability to push and pull cars and equipment weighing up to (250) pounds. Must be able to frequently use hands to perform repetitive motions. Be attentive, accountable and highly organized and can multitask. Have an upbeat, energetic, authentic and professional attitude. Participate in a team environment. Assist other departments when needed, providing lateral service. Execute all other responsibilities, tasks and special projects as assigned by leadership.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS A

minimum of one years’ experience in cleaning Experience as a kitchen captain or kitchen helper is a plus Basic knowledge of hygiene. Ability to comprehend, read, count, write, and speak English conversationally. While there are many pillars that are central to our mission, service is the center of the center.
