At the Downtown YMCA, we are looking for a highly motivated and dedicated Locker Room Attendant to join our team. This role involves maintaining the security and cleanliness of assigned locker rooms, welcoming and assisting members and guests, and ensuring operations run smoothly. If you are looking for more than just a job and want to contribute to the greater good, then this opportunity is perfect for you! We are in need of a male Locker Room Attendant to monitor male locker rooms. Shifts for the MALE Locker Room Attendant are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday 9am-3pm and Thursday 9am-2pm.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Routinely inspect, monitor, and maintain security of locker rooms Welcome and assist members and guests Quickly address member concerns and notify appropriate personnel Ensure locker rooms are clean, stocked, and running smoothly Monitor for safety hazards, unauthorized access, and inappropriate behavior Address behaviors not in accordance with YMCA standards Complete daily Locker Room Attendant checklist Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent required; Some college preferred Must be 21 years of age or older Prior customer service experience required Experience working with diverse populations required Supervisory experience preferred
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Ability to stand, walk, stoop, bend, hear, see, and lift up to 50 pounds
TRAINING
New Employee Orientation required within first week of hire CPR and First Aid certifications required within 30 days of hire Department-specific training required within first 30 days of hire
