Food Production Knife Handler Redefine Meals Lake Ronkonkoma, NY 11779 Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Handler to join our team in a dynamic food processing plant environment. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of food production processes while adhering to strict safety and quality standards. This position requires a strong understanding of food industry regulations and practices, as well as the ability to operate various machinery safely. Duties Operate and maintain equipment used in food processing, including forklifts and other machinery. Assist in the fabrication of food products according to established recipes and specifications. Ensure compliance with FDA regulations, HACCP standards, and CGMP practices throughout the production process. Monitor production lines for quality assurance, ensuring that all products meet safety and quality standards. Perform routine maintenance on equipment and report any mechanical issues to supervisors. Collaborate with team members to optimize production efficiency and resolve any operational challenges. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all safety protocols. Qualifications Previous experience in a food processing plant or similar food production environment is preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively. Familiarity with FDA regulations, HACCP principles, and CGMP practices is highly desirable. Ability to operate forklifts safely; certification may be required. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards. Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team setting. Flexibility to work various shifts as needed in a fast-paced environment.
