Full Time Recreation Aide Swan Lake Nursing & Rehabilitation 25 Schoenfeld Boulevard, Patchogue, NY 11772 Swan Lake Rehabilitation and Nursing has an opening for a Full Time Recreation Specialist. The applicant must have a positive attitude and energy is a must; experience with Activities in a healthcare setting, CTRS or CTRS eligibile preferred.

Education and experience requirements:

Recreation therpary or related field from an accredited school Have thorough knowleges of various resident activities and have familiarity with resident limitation and needs; be able to work in close cooperation with the Director of Theraputic Recreation, as well as display intiative to complete activities, related tasks and programs. Must have appropriate experience in a long term care setting: Responsibilites include, but not limited to: Will be required to complete initial assessments, as well as maintain care plans, progress notes on a quarterly basis and, upon a significant change, complete the Recreation section of the MDS, or assigned by the Director of Therapeutic Recreation; will complete domumentation in a timely, accurate manner Maintain knowledge of governmental, accreditation, professional and facility standards, regulations and practices Maintain knowledge of current TR trends, techniques, methods, issues and professional legal standards through attending professional conferences and participating in opportunities for continuing education. Demonstrate commitment to advancing the use of TR Services in order to ensure quality and protection and to promote the rights of persons receiving services.
