This position focuses on providing support in a personal care boarding home setting and community. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a passion for working with the elderly, ensuring that all activities are tailored to meet the diverse needs of our senior population. Duties Develop and implement recreational programs that promote physical, social, and emotional well-being for seniors. Plan and coordinate events that encourage participation and foster community engagement. Communicate effectively with residents, and staff to ensure a clear understanding of program objectives and schedules. Provide support assisting seniors with daily activities and promoting independence. Maintain accurate records of participation and feedback to continually improve programming. Manage schedules effectively to ensure all activities are well-organized and accessible to residents. Qualifications Experience in senior care or related fields such as social work or aging issues counseling is preferred. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple schedules effectively. Knowledge of event planning principles and practices tailored for senior populations. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with seniors, and team members. A compassionate approach towards caregiving with an understanding of long-term care dynamics. Ability to adapt activities based on the varying capabilities of residents. A commitment to promoting a positive environment for seniors through engaging recreational opportunities.
