Diner experience preferred, but not required. You must have a valid Serve Safe certificate. Copy required upon hire. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shift Manager to oversee daily operations in our food service establishment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for culinary excellence. As a Shift Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that all aspects of food preparation and service meet our high standards of quality and safety. You will play a crucial role in managing staff, inventory control, and maintaining a positive dining experience for our guests. Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate daily activities of kitchen and service staff to ensure efficient operations. Oversee food preparation processes to guarantee adherence to food safety standards. Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies and minimizing waste. Assist in training new staff members on culinary techniques, food safety, and customer service protocols. Ensure that banquet services are executed flawlessly during events. Collaborate with the culinary team to develop menu items that enhance guest satisfaction. Address customer inquiries and complaints promptly to maintain a positive dining atmosphere. Monitor staff performance and provide constructive feedback to promote professional growth. Responsible for counting down drawers at the end of the night Responsible for taking and recording temperatures of food items, as well as cold and freezer units. Skills Strong knowledge of food service operations, including culinary techniques and food safety regulations. Experience in inventory control and management practices. Previous experience as an Assistant Manager or in a similar supervisory role is preferred. Ability to work collaboratively with kitchen staff, bartenders, and front-of-house personnel. Excellent communication skills to effectively lead a diverse team. Proficient in banquet management and event coordination. A passion for cooking and helping others succeed in the culinary field.
