JOB SUMMARY
The Server will be responsible for making suggestions regarding Food and Beverage Service, writing down orders, requesting identification from guests when legal age is questionable, relaying food orders to the kitchen and relaying beverage orders to the bartender.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintains effective communication with guests and fellow team members. Writing down orders, requesting identification from guests when legal age is questionable, relaying food orders to the kitchen, relaying beverage orders to the bartender. Will also assist in the setup of food & beverage equipment and setup of functions. Adhere to local regulations concerning health, safety, or other compliance requirements, as well as brand standards and local policies and procedures. Serve food and beverage to guests according to standard operating procedures. Ensures a high standard of sanitation and hygiene in the work area. Always maintains a high standard of personal appearance and personal hygiene, Perform cashiering tasks according to the set standards. Ensures security of stocks in the restaurant by observing control and inventory procedures. Ensure cleanliness of various restaurant areas and cabanas. Carry food and beverage trays up to 10 pounds throughout the dining area including going up and down stairs. Constantly review standard food presentation, service, and operating procedures. Constantly man their area and make conscious efforts to ensure the cabana is always ready to serve incoming guests and that no guests are left unattended. In the absence of guests, maximize his/ her work shift by consciously finding activities that will help maintain the standards of the restaurant. Attend timely guest complaints and report any to his immediate superior. Take all the necessary steps to prevent theft, property damage, ensure guest satisfaction and achieve operating standards. Ensure that reports and administration requirements are timely submitted such as inventory sheets and breakage reports. Regularly participate in on-the-job training as conducted by his/ her superior or trainer. Greet guests, visitors, and employees in a friendly and courteous manner. Provide excellent customer service and help provide guests with accurate park information. Answer guest questions concerning the park. Adhere to all company policies, procedures, rules, regulations, standards, guidelines, expectations, and requirements. Assume additional responsibilities as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
High School diploma or equivalent
Experience:
Food service experience with general knowledge of restaurant operations preferred, Server experience required.
Certification/Licensure:
TIPS certification or SERV Safe Responsible Alcohol Service Certification, preferred. Must be at least 18 years of age. Ability to present concepts in new ways and from new perspectives Ability to troubleshoot situations without delay and act accordingly Ability to succeed in a fast-paced, evolving environment Must be able to work varied shifts, including evenings, holidays and weekends Must be able to maintain positive, respectful relationships and work effectively with all internal and external constituencies, including employees, community leaders and senior management. Must have highly developed interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, including presentation skills; ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and persuasively. Must have a proactive, goal-oriented, can-do attitude. Positive and effective customer service skills. Must have good cash handling skills. Ability and willingness to up-sell products and services.
