Overview
- Must live in Orlando and be in office 4 days a week
- The Senior Total Rewards Specialist will report to the Total Rewards Manager and will work in partnership to deliver exceptional benefits solutions to support business leaders and Team Members at Red Lobster.
The Senior Total Rewards Specialist will manage the organization’s Team Member benefits programs, including retirement plans, insurance, leaves of absence, company vehicle administration, relocation, RL Cares and wellness initiatives while ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. They research and recommend changes to benefit plans, administer enrollment, and educate employees about their benefits. They ensure that the company benefits plans are aligned with our company business goals. Additionally, they may reconcile billing statements, manage COBRA administration, and maintain accurate records.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITES
The Senior Total Rewards Specialist will demonstrate ownership of the noted areas of responsibility through specific workstreams and critical tasks. The following list of responsibilities is provided as a representative sample of routine activities and should not to be considered a complete list of all duties: Leave of Absence
- Oversee all aspects of the leave of absence process including sharing communications and providing direction to management as applicable for an outsourced model of administration. Responsibilities will include day-to-day management of the program and providing reporting to business leaders.
Administering Benefits - Oversee administration of employee benefits programs, including enrollment, changes, and terminations.
Educating Employees - Provide information and support to employees regarding their benefits, including new hire orientations and open enrollment meetings.
Ensuring Compliance - Stay up to date on relevant laws and regulations and ensure that benefit programs are compliant.
Managing COBRA - Handle COBRA administration for an outsourced administration.
Reconciling Billings - Review and reconcile benefits billing statements, working with vendors and payroll to resolve discrepancies.
Managing the company fleet program - Being the main point of contact for our company fleet program and car stipends.
Relocation - Leading the overall process with business leaders that are provided with assistance through our relocation program.
Maintaining Records - Keep accurate and up-to-date records of employee benefit information.
Researching and Recommending Changes - Analyze existing benefit plans and recommend improvements or modifications.
Problem Solving - Address employee inquiries, resolve benefit-related issues, and assist with claim processing.
Special Projects and Initiatives - Support special projects and initiatives, such as implementing new programs or systems.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 3 years of experience in HR (preferably having experience that includes benefits, retirement plans, leave of absence including
FMLA/ADA
)
Solid teamwork and interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively with and influence multiple stakeholders at all organizational levels
Ability to appropriately handle sensitive and confidential information with a high level of discretion
Creativity to design and implement new ideas and approaches
Highly effective organizational skills
Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with candidates, employees, internal HR counterparts and outside contacts
Solid facilitation skills and ability to lead learning sessions
Proficient with MS Office Suite
- strong to expert level Excel skills
Strong analytical and critical thinking ability
HRIS system experience - preferred with PeopleSoft
REQUIRED EDUCATION
Bachelor’s degree in business or related field
