Compensation Range:
$60,431.00 – $84,603.00 The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximumpensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job’spensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.
Responsibilities:
GENERAL PURPOSE
The Assistant Director for URMC Academic Programs Alumni Relations reports to the Senior Director of Alumni Relations and interacts closely with alumni, donors, volunteers, and UR colleagues. The position designs, manages, and implements a variety of programs and events, including overseeing the annual giving program, for the purpose of enhancing and building lifelong relationships with and annual support from School of Medicine and Dentistry (SMD), School of Nursing (SON), and Eastman Institute for Oral Health (EIOH) alumni.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Volunteer Management Manages alumni volunteers for
SMD/SON/EIOH
including the MD Alumni Class Agent Program, which involves recruitment of agents and reunionmittee, meetings with class agents andmittees, conference calls, and additionalmunications with alumni for the 20th, 25th, 30th, and 35th reunion classes. Responsible for managing URMC alumni engagement activity in the west coast region. Works closely with URMC Academic Programs Alumni Relations team members to help facilitate alumni councils, volunteer programs, andmittees. Acts as the staff point person for themunicationsmittee of the SMD alumni council. With special attention to the APNN graduates of SON and GEPA graduates of SMD, works with these alumni populations to further develop engagement strategies to include the identification and development of alumni champions. Annual Fund and Reunion Giving Partners with the University Advancement Annual Fund and URMC Academic Programs team to develop messaging, goals and stewardship for the

Serves as liaison between URMC Academic Programs and Annual Fund for
SMD/SON/EIOH
wave mailings and emunications. Team lead for Day of Giving and Day of Gratitude for all three academic programs partnering to develop challenges and increasing participation and giving. Coordinates reunion giving special mailings and all program special appeals. Partner with URMC marketing andmunications to update reunion web pages. Oversees the stewarding of Annual Fund donors through activities andmunications that demonstrate giving impact. On-going consultation and benchmarking with peer institutions on annual fund and reunion programs; works with appropriate advancement colleagues to implement strategic best practices and increase alumni giving Through meeting with School partners, ensures proper stewardship of class scholarships funded by donors and identifies opportunities to provide additional stewardship to donors of special and non-traditional restricted funds. Oversees the strategy behind the URMC Academic Program annual acknowledgement letters. Alumni Engagement and Event Management Participates in the planning and execution of Meliora Weekend for SMD, SON, and EIOH including: Coordinating with photographer on the Reunion schedule and expectations Addressing the technology needs of the virtual and in person Reunion events Partnering with marketing andmunications to deliver the contents of the Reunion programs to designers. Coordinating programs and events Partners with the team to coordinate and support events as needed, including signature events such as Dean’s Circle Dinner and Dean’s Diamond Circle Dinner. Partners with the team to build membership in the Meliora Collective and mentorship program for SMD, SON and EIOH Coordinates with central alumni relations to build attendance for university-wide events. Communications s develop and support Go Give Connect goals and metrics throughmunications efforts, including plans for acquisition and retention of volunteers and donors Supports input of information to Reunion Class pages and Digital Memory Books Assists URMC advancementmunications as needed for eventmunications Other duties as assigned
MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree required. A minimum of five years of relevant experience in alumni relations, event management, and/or volunteer management required. Or equivalentbination of education and experience required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Strong demonstrated verbal and writtenmunications skills Preferred. Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact with a diverse group of individuals preferred. The ability to manage multiple projects and priorities with a focus on details and timelines; ability to work some nights and weekends and travel as needed preferred.
