Job Description:
- Identify, develop, and maintain workforce development partnerships.
- Develop effective working relationships with government agencies and maintain regular contact to monitor employer and employee satisfaction.
- Assess the staffing needs of the business and track employment placement and retention outcomes for program participants.
- Screen job seeker resumes, facilitate interviews, provide quality referrals to employers for employment and maintain an updated internal candidate pool for apprenticeships.
- Assist in developing program marketing materials including brochures and other methods to advertise program services.
- Market all programs to businesses and community-based organizations.
- Prepare materials for and support completion of monthly reports.
- Gather, analyze and process grant program data.
- Organize, plan, and execute workforce development events as necessary for assigned projects.
- Participate in professional workforce development through appropriate conferences, workshops, seminars, or webinars.
- Provide input to the Talent Acquisition team and make recommendations for improvements to workforce development programs.
- Provides individual and targeted assistance with professional development and career progression within the Mcleod Health system, identifying and connecting candidates with educational opportunities, skills, and work-based training.
- Manages and tracks successful referral program (Project REACH).
- Exceptional customer service is a critical function of this position. Determines customer needs and delivers service using all available resources. Communicate clearly via telephone, in person and through written and electronic media.
- Assist employees and other customers to educate, inform and facilitate career progression. Acts as a point of service contact for optimal service delivery.
- Develops and maintains information, records, and department specific tracking for monitoring of current worker career progression/outcomes.
- Acts as a liaison for McLeod Health representing the employment brand while building new alliances and networks.
- Conducts interviews for all McLeod Health scholarship candidates and actively participate in the candidate selection process alongside the McLeod Health Scholarship Committee.
Qualifications /
Training:
- Must be self-motivated and a self-starter who works well under pressure.
- Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Online meeting platform skills.
- An aptitude and adaptability to learn various software products.
- Supports workforce diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- Professionalism, organization, and project management skills.
Licenses/Certifications/Registrations/Education:
Bachelor’s degree in business, Human Resource Management, or related field. Will consider equivalent offsetting experience in lieu of degree. ,
