Franklin Sports, Inc. is looking for a detail-oriented HR professional with a passion for supporting people and processes. We are looking for a Payroll and Human Resources Coordinator to join our team and play a key role in supporting our HR department at our distribution facility in Memphis, TN. This role will support payroll functions and will gain hands-on experience in a dynamic HR environment. This is a growing organization where every employee truly makes a difference.

What you will do:

In this important role, the Payroll and HR Coordinator will handle various payroll tasks with ADP Workforce Now and also support a variety of administrative and clerical responsibilities to keep our HR functions running smoothly. The ideal candidate will have prior payroll support experience. We are open to train someone with payroll experience who has the desire to enter into the HR world with the right personality and aptitude. The incumbent will need to thrive in a fast-paced environment, value confidentiality, and take pride in being detail-oriented and want to get things done right and on time. This role requires confidentiality, and the incumbent must possess excellent computer and follow-up skills. The position is an on-site position, located at our Distribution Center in Memphis, TN, and will report to the Human Resources Manager. #FranklinFamily

IN MORE DETAIL, YOU WILL

Handle payroll activities for approximately 100 employees Maintenance of employee records and handle data entry within our payroll and HRIS system and confidential HR document files, ensuring electronic files are up-to-date and in compliance with HR policies and procedures Maintenance for employees and temporary employee records Manage I-9 process and pre-employment verifications Reconcile weekly temporary agency invoices Coordinate the new hire onboarding process, internal systems setup, and prepare and administer new hire orientations Support the Human Resources Manager with assigned clerical and administrative activities Handle temporary agency associate onboarding activities Assist with recruiting activities, for example handle posting jobs, screening applicants, and scheduling candidate interviews Assist employees with navigation within our HRIS self-service system as well as other benefit systems Assist with incident reporting protocols, including work-related injuries/illnesses Assist with HR projects and coordination of employee engagement events Must be able to work overtime hours, including evening and weekend hours, as required Perform other tasks as assigned

WHO YOU ARE

Associate’s degree preferred, High School diploma or equivalent required Up to 3 years of related payroll experience preferred

WHAT YOU HAVE DONE

Strong proficiency with all Microsoft applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Prior proven payroll process experience Solid mathematical aptitude and possess a financial mindset Ability to handle confidential information Empathetic and customer service-oriented personality Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently and in a group environment Strong detail orientation, organizational skills, and follow-up skills Needs to able to work overtime as needed Ability to work evening or weekend hours on rare occasions Teamwork personality with ability to work cross functionally with internal and external parties at all levels Learn and understand OSHA and follow safety protocols

LEVEL OF RESPONSIBILITY

Interact regularly and follow up with internal and external parties based on direction of management, presents information for decision making to manager, and the requires ability to independently follow up on pending items and to manage their own daily tasks and projects as assigned by management.
