No Reports to: Chief Executive Officer & Director of Human Resources Position Summary The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for managing various human resources functions within our organization, including employee time tracking, maintaining employee records, handling HR-related issues, and supporting the onboarding process. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks. The Human Resources Generalist will also serve as the primary point of contact for HR-related inquiries and communication with external service providers as necessary.
Timekeeping & Attendance :
Oversees and manages employee clock-in times using the Push time-tracking system. Ensures accurate recording of hours worked and addresses any discrepancies in a timely manner. Provides reports on attendance and timekeeping as needed.
Employee Records Management :
Maintains and updates employee files, ensuring all documentation is current, accurate, and compliant with all local, state, and federal regulations. Handles confidential information with discretion and maintains the security of employee records. Works directly with the Compliance Manager to ensure compliance with all state, local, and federal requirements regarding necessary employee records.
HR Issues Resolution :
Addresses and resolves employee HR issues, including conflicts, grievances, and performance concerns. Fields employee complaints and provides guidance on company policies and procedures. Conducts investigations as necessary and recommends appropriate actions to management.
Onboarding & Offboarding :
Assists with the onboarding process for new hires, including preparing paperwork, conducting orientation, and ensuring a smooth transition into the company. Coordinates with any external HR contacts for any onboarding-related questions or concerns. Manages the offboarding process, ensuring proper documentation and compliance with company policies. Works directly with the Compliance Manager to ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal guidelines. Communication & Coordination Serves as the primary point of contact for HR-related inquires from potential employees, employees, staff, and management. Communicates with any external HR service providers for support on Human Resources related matters. Assists in the development and implementation of HR-related policies and procedures.
General HR Support :
Supports the Human Resources Director with various tasks, including benefits administration, employee relations, and compliance. Participates in HR projects and initiatives aimed at improving employee experience and organizational efficiency. Assists with payroll processing as needed. Other duties as assigned by Management. Competencies & Skills Strong knowledge of HR principles, practices, and employment laws. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work independently and remain self-motivated with very minimal direct supervision. Qualifications & Training Preference is given to those with certifications in human resources related topics. Must pass a criminal background check in accordance with DCR guidelines to get a Missouri Agent ID.
Education, Technical Knowledge, & Experience Education :
Highschool Diploma or GED Technical Knowledge:
Computer proficiency with emphasis on communications. This includes Microsoft Office products and Adobe Acrobat. Preference given to those with Push and Employee Navigator.
Experience :
One (1) to two (2) years’ experience preferred.
Physical Demands & Work Environment Physical Demands :
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and listen. This position requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and crouching. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus. Moderate lifting of up to 40 pounds may be expected.
Work Environment :
Work is typically performed in an office setting at a licensed marijuana facility.
