SUMMARY/PURPOSE

Recruit, hire, train, and support the District’s employee workforce.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Implement and operationalize the District’s business plan and marketing strategy for recruiting, hiring, and retaining a highly qualified workforce. Implement and operationalize the District’s focus on equity, diversity, inclusion, and anti-racism for the benefit of the District’s workforce. Coordinate, organize, and attend multiple job fairs to recruit candidates. Move newly hired employees through the onboarding process in an prompt and efficient manner. Process verification of employment and unemployment District-wide. Prepare bi-monthly hiring, resignation, and termination reports for Board of Education meetings. Support the Chief Human Resources Officer in responding to employee grievances, EEOC charges and lawsuits, and maintain the confidential files. Process unemployment claims District-wide. Support the Chief Human Resources Officer in scheduling interviews, communicating with candidates, and producing all materials for administrative staff interviews, ensuring compliance with policy and laws. Work with the Professional Development Coordinator to arrange and prepare professional development for staff.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Four years’ experience in Human Resources or a related field. SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or any other Human Resources related certification, preferred. Must have a thorough knowledge of Human Resources Office procedures and telephone etiquette. Must have working knowledge and experience in the use of computers and computer applications. Must possess excellent human relations skills (critical). Must have experience in combining efficient operational techniques with good human relations. Must have excellent skills in spelling, grammar, proofreading, typing, and use of office equipment. Must have the ability to communicate ideas effectively in written and oral form. Must use discretion in handling and maintaining confidential information. Must be experienced in record keeping, organizing and prioritizing work, initiating and completing projects and handling multiple tasks while handling multiple interruptions. Must be experienced in initiating and completing tasks without supervision. Must be experienced in maintaining complex records and files. Must have the ability to interpret policies, procedures, rules and regulations. Must have excellent organizational skills.
