Summary/Objective The human resource generalist performs duties at the professional level in some or all of the following functional areas: employee relations, training, employment, compliance and benefits management, as well as HRIS functions. This position requires an extremely perceptive person who is capable of relating to individuals at all levels within the organization. The generalist must be sensitive to hospital needs, employee goodwill and the business needs. Essential Functions Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Maintains all employee and applicant documentation as dictated by governing agencies (OMH, SCR, SEL). Assists with recruitment tasks as needed (reviews applications, interviews, scheduling). Maintains employee personnel files. Ensures compliance with USCIS Form I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification; periodically audits Forms I-9. Assists in the monitoring employee performance evaluations, PMCS training, BLS certification, and, yearly health forms and licensure. Ensures they are done in a timely manner (i.e., three months, six months, one year and yearly thereafter). Assist with New Hire Orientation, taking of ID pictures, request and distribute keys. The employee is frequently required to stand, talk and hear. Required Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent years of experience. Experience in the administration of benefits and compensation programs and other human resource programs. Preferred Education and Experience Human resource experience in this industry. Three to five years of HR generalist experience. Additional Eligibility Qualifications SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) certification.
