JOB SUMMARY
The HR Manager will execute the Human Resources function and provide strategic implementation and administration of HR programs and policies across all functional HR areas to include Employment and Recruitment, Compensation and Benefits Administration, Training, Employee Relations, and Performance Management. Responsibilities Manage the recruitment, hiring and retention of skilled and qualified employees by providing candidate sourcing and screening, interview support, extension of job offers, employee onboarding and orientation. Benefits oversight including enrollment with insurance providers and acting as liaison between employees and insurance providers as needed. Administers human resources policy and procedures and provides guidance and interpretation to management and employee customers. Compliance with annual report filings to include Affirmative Action Plan, EE0-1 and VETS-4212, 1095s. Establish and maintain HR records, both electronically and in physical formats. Provides reports as needed via data compilation, extraction and analysis. Ensure compliance with all federal, state and local employment laws. Provide guidance with employee relations issues and implement corrective action as required. Champion employee recognition and social events (i.e., awards/recognition, Christmas party, picnics etc.) Required Skills, Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business or related field OR a current
SHRM CP/PHR/SPHR
Certification. A minimum of 10 years directly related experience in the HR field. Knowledge of applicable principles, practices of Human Resource Management to include federal and state regulations. Hands on experience in multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation, organizational effectiveness, talent acquisition, performance management and employee relations. Exceptional interpersonal, collaboration, communication and relationship-building skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to perform a wide range of HR related activities with minimal supervision. Must be able to maintain discretion and confidentiality; demonstrate excellent customer service skills; and establish and maintain excellent working relationships with senior leaders and employee customers. Ability to stay abreast of changing requirements for Human Resources policies and processes in order to effectively implement changes as required. Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Knowledge of HR principles for federal contractors desired. Knowledge of employment law and procedures for California desired. Previous experience with UKG or other HRIS desired.
SHRM/HRCI
