Reporting to the COO, you’ll oversee employee relations, benefits, recruitment, compliance, training, and more. Play a key role in fostering a positive, people-centered, and legally compliant workplace. This is a hands-on role working with a compassionate team that values people, purpose, professional growth, and making a meaningful impact. This is a full-time, onsite position with our client, a nonprofit faith-based organization located in Holyoke, MA. It is a direct hire opportunity with our client. Your Role in Our Mission Lead full-cycle recruitment, onboarding, and orientation processes Serve as point person for employee relations, performance management, and compliance with Massachusetts employment law Manage benefits programs, leave requests, short-term disability, and workers’ comp claims Coordinate training programs on safety, compliance, and professional development Promote employee engagement, retention initiatives, and feedback mechanisms Lead employee satisfaction surveys and deliver actionable insights to strengthen workplace environment and retention Oversee offboarding and ensure smooth transitions
What We’re Looking For:
7+ years of HR leadership experience, preferably in a nonprofit or a faith-based setting Deep knowledge of Massachusetts employment law and HR compliance Strong interpersonal and communication skills with experience managing sensitive and confidential matters and fostering collaboration across all levels Skilled in HRIS platforms, payroll operations, and benefits administration Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Admin, or related field (Master’s preferred) SHRM-CP or PHR certification a plus Make an impact where people matter most.
