Position Summary:

Ametek’sSpecialty Metal Products (SMP) Business Unit is seeking an HRManager with a passion for the HR profession, a desire to growtheir career, an attention to detail, critical thinking skills andhigh intellectual curiosity. This role offers multi-siteresponsibility and is ideal for a motivated professional looking toadvancetheir career. This position will report directly BU HRDirector, and may be based in either Eighty Four, PA, or Lancaster,PA. This is a role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, heavymanufacturing environment where safety is a priority. As theprimary HR resource for employees at our Eighty Four, PA andLancaster, PA locations, this role will also provide HR leadershipand oversight of the Senior HR Generalist at our location inWallingford, CT. A strong performer will be able to grow theircareer as they achieve success. The successful candidate willwelcome the blend of hands on and front-line HR work, includingpayroll & HRIS administration, talent acquisition, new hireorientation, performance management, attendance, benefits/leave ofabsence administration, and data analysis and reporting. Thecandidate will develop expertise in systems like ADP Enterprise,Success Factors, ADP Workforce, and LinkedIn Recruiter. Thisposition requires precision under high expectations andaccountability, with contributions to areas outside of HR.

Primaryresponsibilities:

Develop, implement, and manage organizationalprograms relative to employee development, retention, performancemanagement, onboarding, career development, and succession planningto ensure a talent pipeline that will successfully enable currentstrategies and future growth. Partner with hiring managers toevaluate talent needs and ensure acceptable staffing levels(current and future). Manage the full recruiting process. Focus oninterviewing and selection to ensure a consistent, high qualitytalent pipeline. Assist hiring managers with the effective use ofselection criteria and onboarding tools. Deliver efficient andeffective HR processes for payroll administration, staffing, HRISdata management, performance management, and attendance,benefits/leave administration and data reporting. Utilizerecognized process improvement tools to eliminate waste in existingpractices and institute standard work. Ensure and maintaincompliance with state, federal regulations, and Ametek’sorganizational policies and guidelines. Provide daily onsiteemployee relations support across multiple shifts.

PositionQualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or relatedfield required. Masters in Human Resources or MBA is desired. Atleast 5 years of broad based Human Resources experience, includingtalent acquisition, leave management, labor relations, andperformance management in a manufacturing environment. Proven trackrecord of results achievement, demonstrated leadership andinterpersonal skills. Willingness to schedule work hours outside oftraditional business hours as needed. Experience with ADP, ADPWorkforce, and SuccessFactors is desirable. Able to manage multiplepriorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving ability. Is ableto maintain a high degree of confidentiality and integrity. Remainscalm under pressure and can lead through difficult situations.

Ability to interact and influence with confidence, building trustand rapport. Is capable of providing courageous and decisiveadvice. Strong time management and project management abilities.

Intermediate to advanced computer skills (particularly MicrosoftOffice). Highly proficient written and verbal communicationskills.
