THE STARTING SALARY FOR THIS POSITION IS LIMITED TO

$48,222 – $67,500. Salary offers for the selected candidate are based on the candidate’s education and experience related to the position, as well as our agency budget and equity. Recruitment/Salary Administration The position performs detailed salary review and recommendation for internal and external compensation actions. Position will review and recommend salary actions considering qualifying education and experience, equity, and availability of funds. Position will be assigned job classes for recruitment tasks utilizing Applicant Tracking System (NEOGOV). Provide oversight and management of the PeopleAdmin System for DOJ HR. Position is responsible for appropriate and required documentation of all classification changes and In-Range Adjustments. Must be proficient in use of the Fiori System in order to complete OM actions. This position is tasked with qualifying applicants for reallocations, temporary positions and potentially some specific job families. The position analyzes applications and related information to determine if the applicant is qualified, then documents all research, experience and education that can then be used to create a maximum qualified salary. The position is responsible for analyzing salary trends within a job family and suggests potential issue resolutions. Consistency is very important in the Department of Justice due to the nature of legal work and the similarities between certain classes of work (i.e. legal secretaries and paralegals). The position may answer salary inquiries in management’s absence. HR/PA Actions Backup This position receives Human Resources action requests from the divisions within the Department of Justice, reviews the action to determine the type of action needed and if additional information is necessary in order for the action to be completed. The Human Resources actions are prepared and sent to for final departmental HR and Finance approval. The Compensation and Classification team is consulted as needed for help with any problems that arise. Reports, Projects, and Additional Duties Position will create, analyze and report statistical information. Position will also balance special projects and additional duties as assigned with day to day program area responsibilities. Position serves on interview panels. Demonstrated knowledge in the interpretation and application of federal laws and State HR laws, policies and practices governing HR; Demonstrated ability to work in effectively in a fast-paced environment and meninge multiple priorities; Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others; to express ideas clearly and concisely; to exercise good judgment in analyzing situations and making recommendations and/or decisions within delegated level of authority. Demonstrated knowledge of the principles and practice of job evaluation & compensation data to prepare clear and concise written reports and recommendations. Ability to use HRIS applications to review, monitor and report human resource transactions. Minimum Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree, typically in Human Resources or related field from an appropriately accredited institution; or High school or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and three (3) years of progressive experience in Human Resources; or equivalent combination or education and experience. Transcripts:

Degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions. A copy of your transcripts indicating the degree received can be uploaded with your application. If a transcript has been requested, your application will be considered incomplete if you do not provide one. Using a photograph of your diploma is not acceptable. Credit for foreign degrees will only be given if verification of degree certification is attached to your application. Transcripts for foreign degrees have to be evaluated by an organization like World Education Services to determine US equivalency. Any licenses or certificates must be included in the appropriate section of the application form. Applicants seeking Veteran’s Preference must attach a copy of their DD-214 or discharge orders. Applicants seeking National Guard Preference must attach a NGB 23A (RPAS) if you are a current member of the NC National Guard in good standing. If you are a former member of the NC National Guard who served for at least 6 years and was discharged under honorable conditions, you must attach either a DD256 or NGB 22.
