Position Overview:
We’re seeking a highly motivated, people-first Talent Acquisition Recruiter to join our team in a hybrid role , supporting hiring efforts across Rochester, Farmington, and Syracuse . This is more than just filling roles—it’s about shaping the candidate experience, enhancing onboarding, and supporting retention through thoughtful recruiting strategy and deep partnership. You’ll be at the frontlines of our growth strategy, helping us build strong teams that reflect our values—and setting the tone for every candidate’s first interaction with our company.
What You’ll Do:
Lead full-cycle recruitment for field, office, and technical roles with a focus on candidate experience and culture fit Develop and implement interview training for hiring managers and teams Ensure a seamless and welcoming onboarding experience that drives early engagement and long-term retention Build talent pipelines through strong relationships with local high schools, technical schools, and military organizations Represent John Betlem Heating & Cooling at career fairs, community events, and industry conferences Collaborate cross-functionally to improve hiring strategies, talent planning, and workforce development Support and train hiring teams to align with best practices in behavioral interviewing and candidate evaluation Assist with the implementation and adoption of our new iCIMS Applicant Tracking System (go-live in progress!)
What We’re Looking For:
A recruiter with heart, hustle, and high standards Proven experience in recruiting, talent acquisition, or HR—preferably in skilled trades, construction, or service-based environments Strong communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to influence and coach Knowledge of ATS systems (experience with iCIMS a plus!) A strategic mindset with a passion for workforce development and retention Willingness to travel locally (Rochester, Farmington, and Syracuse as needed) Why Join Us?
