Position Overview:

Amergis Educational Staffing is seeking compassionate and qualified School Counselors to support students’ emotional and mental well-being across our 11 school locations. This is a position for the upcoming Fall 2025 school year. While specific site needs are still being finalized, we are actively onboarding professionals who are open to working in Clearwater/Pinellas, Tampa, or Pasco. As a School Counselor, you will provide direct counseling services to students, support mental health initiatives, and collaborate with school staff to foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide individual and group counseling to students
Address mental health concerns and support emotional development
Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families
Maintain accurate records and documentation
Support crisis intervention and referral processes

Minimum Requirements:

Florida Department of Education (FLDOE) School Counselor Certification (Required)
2+ years of experience in a school or youth-focused mental health setting
Degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, Nursing, or related Human Development field (Associate’s, Bachelor’s, or Master’s depending on state/facility requirements)
Current CPR certification (if applicable)
TB Questionnaire, PPD, or chest x-ray (if applicable)
Current Health Certificate (as required by contract or state)
Must meet all federal, state, and local employment requirements
Must be at least 18 years of age
