Collaborate with school administrators and multiple stakeholders in advocating for programs and services that positively impact student success.
Develop prevention and intervention services in the areas of academic, personal-social, and career planning.
Become an integral member of the school community.
Schedule appropriately to service students who:
- Are danger of failing
- Are need of program changes
- Have emotional problems
- Have social issues
- Are new to the school
Assist students with understanding:
a) The school and its environment
b) Themselves in relation to others
c) Their strengths and weaknesses
d) Educational requirements
Coordinate testing and generate reports and interpret the scores for students, faculty and parents.
Conduct conferences with parents to help them better understand and assist with their child’s educational process.
Implement guidance units in the classrooms.
Initiate referrals to other pupil personnel services when necessary.
Shall be responsible to the building principal/department chair.
Other duties as assigned by the Superintendent.
