$19/hour and mileage reimbursement; provision of laptop or tablet and company cell phone Summary This position is responsible for the recruitment, promotion and delivery of the Fatherhood Engagement program. The Fatherhood Engagement program strengthens families by equipping fathers with the tools, skills, and confidence to be active, engaged parents. This role focuses on leadership, mentorship, and providing direct support to fathers as they navigate parenting, employment, and personal development. The Fatherhood Advocate is responsible for the delivery of evidence-based father-focused parenting curriculum, as one-on-one services, recruiting father participants by engaging in community outreach activities and community education, as well as making and maintaining partnerships with other community service organizations. This position is also responsible for providing direct services to support fathers’ involvement through care coordination and fatherhood initiatives. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following and other duties as assigned: Plan and conduct face-to-face visits with fathers using evidence-based curriculum activities, methods, and materials Collaborate with Healthy Start direct service providers and Connect representatives to facilitate enrollment of fathers into services Equip fathers with tools and connections to succeed in their roles by linking them to job opportunities, financial resources, mental health support, and housing assistance Guide fathers in accessing key resources and taking charge of their family’s well-being Lead father-focused trainings and initiatives that strengthen communication, leadership, and relationship skills for dads navigating parenthood. Maintain confidential, timely and accurate records of all visits, contacts, screenings, and resource linkages in the agency’s case management system May also be requested to: Actively recruit fathers for the program through community outreach, networking, and partnerships. Engage with local organizations, employers, and social groups to promote fatherhood initiatives and build strong community collaborations. Be available for evening and weekend activities as needed to accommodate families’ schedules Perform other duties as assigned Education, Experience and Requirements Experience as mentor, educator, or coach required. Experience in mentorship, coaching, leadership, or education required. Must have strong communication skills and the ability to connect with diverse groups. Minimum of an Associate’s degree preferred. Must have reliable transportation, the ability to provide proof of insurance, pass a level 2 background check and a drug screen.
