Assistive Technology & Home Modification Specialist Location:

What You’ll Do :
The Assistive Technology & Home Modification Specialist is responsible for engaging with individuals living with disabilities and seniors by providing assistive technology services and assessments for Inglis Assistive Tech Solutions (IATS) to live safely and independently in the environment they choose. The Assistive Technology & Home Modification Specialist provides services that address assistive technology needs including home & individual assessments, technology support, individual education and training as well as comprehensive home assessments to ensure safety and accessibility in the physical environment. This role is expected to manage administrative tasks such as documenting client billing information and entering data into designated data management systems. Additionally, this role is expected to create and maintain positive relationships with clients and organizational partners in the local community. The Assistive Technology & Home Modification Specialist is responsible for representing Inglis and the community services Inglis offers. This role is expected to support the promotion and growth of the Inglis Assistive Tech Solutions (IATS) program through direct outreach to potential clients and referral sources and participating in presentations at conferences and events. Position requires operation of a vehicle. This job description is intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by the person assigned to this position. What We’re Looking For :
Perform comprehensive assessments in clients’ homes or community settings to evaluate assistive technology and home modification needs. Collaborate with clients to create customized plans that align with their personal goals, incorporating assistive technology, adaptive equipment, and accessibility modifications. Recommend, configure, and train clients on a wide range of assistive technologies, ensuring appropriate adaptation and usability based on individual needs and abilities. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of best practices in universal design, home accessibility standards, and assistive technology advancements to ensure high-quality, evidence-based service delivery. Provide detailed recommendations for environmental modifications and partner with contractors, therapists, and other professionals to support safe and accessible home environments. Facilitate 1:1 and group learning opportunities for clients, caregivers, and community partners, focusing on the use and maintenance of assistive technologies. Maintain accurate records of client interactions, goal progress, assessments, and billing through electronic systems in compliance with program standards and policies. Pay Rate for this
