The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the comfort and well-being of clients, promoting their independence while respecting their dignity and rights. This role requires a nurturing attitude, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with diverse populations, including those with disabilities or dementia. Duties Assist clients with personal hygiene tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing. Help with mobility and transfers, including heavy lifting when necessary. Administer medications as prescribed and monitor clients for any side effects or changes in condition. Take vital signs and report any significant changes to healthcare professionals. Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities to enhance their quality of life. Support clients with meal preparation and feeding as needed. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, adhering to all resident rights and safety protocols. Document care provided and communicate effectively with family members and healthcare teams. Requirements Certification in CPR is preferred. Experience in medication administration is highly desirable. Knowledge of dementia care practices is a plus. Familiarity with taking vital signs and basic caregiving techniques is essential. Understanding of resident rights within a nursing home or similar setting is important. Experience working with individuals on the autism spectrum or those with disabilities is beneficial. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by client needs. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
