The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care in various settings, including group homes and nursing homes. This role requires a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for those with diverse needs, including individuals with autism. Duties Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, grooming, and dressing. Provide medication administration as prescribed and monitor clients for any side effects or changes in condition. Measure and record vital signs to ensure the well-being of clients. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary requirements. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, ensuring that living spaces are tidy and organized. Support clients in engaging in social activities and encourage participation in group home events. Assist with heavy lifting when necessary, ensuring proper techniques are used to prevent injury. Document care provided and report any changes in client conditions to appropriate healthcare professionals. Skills Strong understanding of patient care principles, particularly for individuals with autism. Proficient in medication administration and monitoring vital signs. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with clients, families, and healthcare teams. Compassionate demeanor with a strong commitment to providing high-quality care. Experience working in group home or nursing home settings is preferred but not required. Ability to maintain cleanliness and organization within client living spaces.
