Direct Care Staff-Evenings and Weekends 3.2 3.2 out of 5 stars Higginsville, MO Gentle Moments is currently hiring Direct Support Professionals/Direct Care Staff for 3-11, Monday-Friday 3pm-11pm in Higginsville, MO location. About Us Gentle Moments is part of the Community Access family of agencies. Founded in 2000, Community Access is a non-profit agency that provides services and supports for Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities in the Higginsville MO, and Independence, MO areas. We provide care in ISL, Group Home, Independent Living Skills Development, and Community Integration settings. At Community Access, we pride ourselves on our ability to implement a gentle culture for the people we support. Job Description Direct Care Staff work directly with the people we support as they live their day to day lives. Direct Care Staff assist with all aspects of daily living, such as
- Housekeeping
- cooking
- medication administration
- hygiene assistance
- scheduling and attending medical appointments
- attending social events, volunteering, and many forms of recreation. Job Requirements Along with a caring attitude, and ability to implement the ideals of Gentle Teaching, Applicants must possess the following to be qualified for this position:
- High School Diploma or equivalency
- Social Security Card
- Proof of Valid Vehicle Insurance
- Driver’s License
- Staff must pass a FCSR background screening prior to working directly with the people we support Compensation The starting rate for Direct Care Staff is $11 per hour, based on placement. We also pay a 50 cent weekend shift differential for awake shifts on the weekend. We pay $10.30 per hour for sleep shifts. We provide the following benefits to full time employees
