The ideal candidate will have experience working with people with developmental disabilities and possess the skills necessary to ensure the comfort and well-being of our clients. This role requires a strong commitment to patient care, adherence to HIPAA regulations, and the ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary. Responsibilities Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing. Monitor patients’ health and report any changes in condition or behavior. Provide companionship and emotional support to clients. Help with mobility and transfers, including heavy lifting when required. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties. Support clients in engaging in daily activities and social interactions. Follow care plans as directed by healthcare professionals, ensuring all HIPAA guidelines are adhered to. Assist with medication reminders and other healthcare needs as appropriate. Provide hospice care when necessary, ensuring dignity and comfort for clients at all stages of life. Qualifications Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred. Knowledge of patient monitoring techniques and ability to recognize changes in health status. Strong understanding of cleanliness standards and infection control practices. Experience in long-term care settings is advantageous. Certification in CPR is highly desirable. Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely and effectively. Compassionate demeanor with excellent interpersonal skills. Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
