About the Position
The Personal Care Aide provides assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) to residents as needed, according to the respective individual support plan and documents all care provided.

Available Shifts:

8/pay – 5p-9p Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Completes all activities of daily living (bathing, grooming, toileting, etc.) in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Reports incidents and changes of condition to the Charge Nurse in a timely manner.
Reports issues related to the care and treatment of residents to the Charge Nurse in a timely manner.
Answers resident call lights and resolves the issue.
Assists residents to and from the dining room, serves meals, and assists with feeding residents if needed.
Assists residents with ambulation and transports/escorts residents as needed.
Assumes responsibility for the appearance and hygiene of residents.
Ensures all residents are offered hydration and nourishments.
Completes tub baths, showers, and bed baths.
Obtains vital signs and weights.
Ensures concerns/complaints from residents and responsible parties are addressed initially and communicated to the PC Administrator for follow up and resolution.
Documents all care in respective resident’s chart.
Responds appropriately to any emergency or disaster event.
Maintains confidentiality of all residents’ care information, including protected health information, in accordance with HIPAA and other federal and state regulations.
Identifies resident care needs and provides care according to the respective individual support plan.
Performs all tasks in a safe manner adhering to all safety policies/standards.
Represents Londonderry Village in a manner that conveys professionalism and courtesy to all individuals.
Strictly adheres to infection control standards and safety standards, policies, and procedures.
Orients newly-hired staff to the unit and their respective job duties.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Must be at least 21 years of age as per licensing regulations.
Must have a High School diploma or GED.
Must have current, valid certification in Pennsylvania as a Medication Technician in good standing, or willingness to obtain.
Must have current First Aid and CPR certification or willingness to obtain.
Minimum of one year of experience as a Personal Care Aide or Medication Technician.
Must follow all universal precautions procedures, including use of personal protective equipment, due to potential for exposure to bloodborne pathogens.
