As a crucial part of Charleston Southern University’s mission, the Home School Liaison , reporting to the Executive Director of Undergraduate Admissions, is responsible for building relationships with homeschooling families, providing guidance, and ensuring a smooth enrollment process. The ideal candidate should have a passion for education, excellent communication skills, and a strong commitment to the values and mission of Charleston Southern University.
Work Performed:
Represent CSU at Home School Conventions to increase the home school communitys awareness of Charleston Southern University being the preeminent university for home-schooled students. Present admissions and financial aid information to home school students, families, and groups throughout the Lowcountry and state. Assist prospective students in understanding the admissions process, including application requirements, deadlines, and financial aid options. Provide personalized guidance to homeschooled students, addressing any unique challenges they may face during the application process. Guide accepted students through enrollment, ensuring they complete the necessary paperwork, submit transcripts, and register for classes. Represent CSU by speaking at Christian high schools, youth events, chapels, co-events, etc. Build relationships with influential home school leaders to advocate for Charleston Southern University as the preeminent university for home school students. Research and advise the Director of Admissions of new trends and developing best practices for recruiting home-schooled students. Coordinate and host large and small homeschool groups on campus and schedule interface with senior leadership. Ensure homeschool community is made aware of campus events that may attract homeschool students to campus to participate as observers or participants. Maintain CSU homeschool website pages and work with MarComm to effectively market to the homeschool community. Perform other duties related to the work described herein. Education:
A Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university.
