School Social Worker –

Key Responsibilities:

Student Support &Counseling:

Provide individual and group counseling to addressstudents’ social, emotional, behavioral, and mental health needs.

IEP & 504

Plan Collaboration:

Participate in the development andimplementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and 504Plans. Offer social-emotional input, behavioral goals, andrecommendations for interventions.

Family & Community Liaison:

Actas a bridge between home, school, and community resources. Supportfamilies by connecting them to relevant services and programs.

Crisis Intervention:

Respond to crises and provide immediatesupport to students, staff, and families during emergencysituations.

Case Management & Documentation:

Maintain thorough andconfidential records of student progress, services provided, andcommunication with stakeholders. Prepare documentation for IEPmeetings and evaluations.

Multidisciplinary Team Participation:

Collaborate with educators, psychologists, counselors,administrators, and other team members to assess student needs andcreate holistic support plans.

Qualifications:

Licensure:

IllinoisProfessional Educator License (PEL) with a School Social Workerendorsement (Type 73)

Clearances:

Criminal Background Check and TBClearance Work Authorization:

Must be eligible to work in the U.S.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience working in aschool-based setting Strong knowledge of community mental healthresources Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus

Physical Demands:

Environment:

Occasional exposure to typical school conditionsincluding dust, noise, and changing environments.

Activity:

Regularstanding, walking, and occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs, with orwithout reasonable accommodations.

Sensory:

Ability to performessential job duties with or without assistive devices oraccommodations, including in moderate to high noise environments.
