  • Outreach and assertive provision of services to trement resistant pients.
  • Mobilizion of environmental and organizional supports, including family members, professionals, and other interested parties.

For example, undertakes individual, family and group therapies as well as educional programs for veterans, families, and staff. Also responsible for linking pients to other VA programs and to community resources. Participes in team staffing regarding pient selection, determinion of trement plans and goals, progress evaluion, discharge planning, and after care. Effectively communices with and utilizes other disciplines (e.g., nursing, medicine) to facilite trement planning and implemention. To qualify for appointment as a social worker in VHA, all applicants must meet the following: Citizenship. Be a citizen of the United Stes. Have a master’s degree in social work from a school of social work fully accredited by the Council on Social Work Educion (CSWE).
