Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate MentalHealth Provider to deliver vital mental health services to inmateswithin a county jail system. The ideal candidate will possesseither a master’s degree in counseling or social work. This is achallenging yet rewarding opportunity to positively impactindividuals’ lives during an important time.

Licensed ProfessionalCounselor, MSW Social Worker Schedule:
10 hrs per week,
FlexibleSchedule Key Responsibilities:
Conduct initial and ongoingassessments of inmates’ mental health needs, utilizing standardizedassessment tools and clinical interviews. Develop and implementindividualized treatment plans, focusing on stabilization,skill-building, and preparation for re-entry into the community.
Provide individual and group counseling services, addressing arange of issues such as substance abuse, trauma, anger management,and coping skills. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams,including corrections staff, medical professionals, and probationofficers to ensure comprehensive care. Facilitate referrals tointernal programs and external community resources for ongoingsupport upon release. Maintain accurate, timely documentation ofassessments, treatment plans, sessions, and other relevantinformation. Stay current with best practices in correctionalmental health and seek out opportunities for professional growth.
Qualifications:
Master’s Level:
Master’s degree in counseling orsocial work. Current licensure (LPC, MSW, etc.) and eligibility forcertification in correctional mental health (preferred). Knowledgeof evidence-based practices for working with justice-involvedpopulations. Excellent clinical, communication, and interpersonalskills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, potentiallychallenging environment. Commitment to cultural competence andworking with diverse populations.
Registered Nurse:
Minimum of 2years of experience in psychiatric nursing Experience working withdiverse patient populations and diagnoses (e.g., substance abuse,personality disorders, psychosis) Correctional health experiencepreferred, but not required
Working Conditions:
This position iswithin a county jail setting. Must be able to pass a backgroundcheck and adhere to all security protocols. Ability to workdesignated shift.
