Job Description
New England Academy, Beverly is seeking a licensed school counselor for the 2025-2026 school year (permanent position).
Overall Responsibilities:
The School Counselor is a multi-faceted role encompassing individual therapy and group therapy. The School Counselor will work with students who have social and emotional disabilities, low self-esteem, and general school difficulties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Individual therapy with students
- Development of individual therapy plans with students
- Group therapy leader, development of group therapy curriculum
- Family communication and treatment planning
- Writing and implementation of I.E.P.’s
- Participation in I.E.P. meetings
- Writing and updating student progress reports
- Assisting in student supervision during breaks
- Coordination and communication with the student’s outpatient treatment team members
