Mental Health Clinician RMV healthcare East Elmhurst, NY 11370 Job Summary As a Mental Health Technician, you will play a crucial role in supporting individuals with mental health challenges by providing direct care and assistance. You will work closely with mental health professionals to ensure the well-being and progress of patients. Duties Provide direct support to individuals with mental health conditions Assist in conducting individual and group counseling sessions Implement cognitive behavioral therapy techniques Support patients in developing coping strategies Maintain accurate medical records and documentation Collaborate with the healthcare team to create and implement treatment plans Offer emotional support and grief counseling to patients and their families Assist in case management activities for patients with diverse needs Qualifications Experience or knowledge in psychotherapy and mental health counseling Ability to provide patient care with empathy and understanding Proficiency in conducting individual and group counseling sessions Familiarity with cognitive behavioral therapy techniques Strong organizational skills for maintaining medical records and documentation Ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities Background in case management is a plus
