Position Summary:

We are seeking Licensed Therapists with a passion for working with senior citizens. At Guiding Star Mental Health, you’ll play a crucial role in providing one-on-one therapy, developing personalized treatment plans, and collaborating with facility staff to support the mental health and well-being of our elderly population. What You’ll Do:

Lead individual therapy sessions for seniors, helping them navigate issues like grief, anxiety, depression, and life transitions. Create and implement personalized treatment plans that reflect the unique needs of each client. Collaborate with facility staff, family members, and other healthcare professionals to ensure your clients receive holistic, well-rounded care. Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as needed to meet changing needs. Be there for clients during crisis situations , providing timely intervention and support. Educate clients and families on mental health conditions, treatment options, and coping strategies.

What We’re Looking For:

Master’s or Doctoral degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field.

Licensed :

Must be licensed as an LCSW, LPC-MHSP, LMFT, or equivalent in the state of Tennessee. A passion for working with senior citizens or a willingness to learn and be trained in the unique mental health needs of this population. Excellent communication skills and a knack for building trusting relationships. Ability to work independently while staying connected to a collaborative, multidisciplinary team. Compassionate, patient, and empathetic approach to care—because we believe our seniors deserve nothing less. Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems and the ability to document client care accurately.

Compensation:

At Guiding Star Mental Health, we deeply value the expertise and commitment of our therapists. Our compensation model is designed not only to reward your hard work but also to provide transparency, flexibility, and opportunities for growth as our practice expands. You’ll earn $70 per billable hour (based off CPT codes 90832, 90834, & 90837).
