Job Description:

Kay’s Learning Academy is hiring a dependable Part-Time Afternoon Floater to support our classrooms and staff during peak afternoon hours. This role also includes being available as an on-call support staff member to help cover unexpected staff absences when needed.

Schedule:

Regular shift: 2:00 PM•6:00 PM, Monday through Friday On-call availability: As needed during regular business hours (7:00 AM•6:00 PM)

What We’re Looking For:

Dependable and flexible team player Must be comfortable working in different classrooms with varying age groups Must be available and responsive for potential call-ins (advance notice will be given when possible) Serious applicants only•references will be checked

Responsibilities:

Step into classrooms across all age groups (infants to preschool) as needed Assist teachers with daily routines, supervision, and classroom transitions Support during snack, nap, and pick-up times Maintain a clean and safe classroom environment Build positive relationships with children and staff Follow center policies and state licensing regulations Be available on-call for same-day or short-notice coverage when needed

Requirements:

High school diploma or GED (required) Previous experience in a licensed child care setting (preferred) CPR/First Aid Certification (or willing to obtain)

ITS SIDS

Certification (or willing to obtain if working with infants) Must pass background check, TB test, and health screening before start date
