Next Gen Pastor Mountain View Church 520 Casteel Road Marietta, GA 30064 mvcmarietta Mountain View Church exists to develop Christ centered people focused on reaching ourmunity for Him. The primary function of this church staff position is oversee and guide the spiritual development of children, youth, and young adults within Mountain View Church. Three schools are within two miles of the church and nearly 65,000 people live in the West Cobb area w the church is located. The ideal candidate will take advantage of our strategic location to build the children’s and youth ministries.

QUALIFICATIONS A

born-again Christian with a call to ministry.
A pastoral heart to see young people to grow in theirmitment to Christ.
Meets the qualifications for church leaders found in 1 Timothy 3, Titus 1, and 1 Peter 5.
Personal and growing relationship with God, a teachable spirit, and a healthy family life.
Commitment to Mountain View Church’s Constitution, Statement of Faith as well as adnce to church vision of Christ Centered, Community Focused.
Maintain a pastoral philosophy of equipping and discipling.
Commitment to a team approach to ministry.
Strong teacher and love for God’s Word.
Relational style of leadership and ministry.
Joyful spirit and a good sense of humor.
Able to work without direct supervision.
Take initiative in new projects, envision new ideas, and see them topletion. Examples such as Christian Camps, contemporary Christian concerts, youth mission trips, among many other creative ideas to enhance this ministry.
Experience in ministry is preferred.
Four-year college degree required. Seminary preferred.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Pray for Mountain View young people.
Exhibit Christ-like conduct andmitment to high Biblical standards in personal ministry.
Assist in pastoral care for families in their time of need i.e., weddings and funerals.
Assist senior pastor with preaching, teaching, baptisms, and outreach.
Administrative duties involvinganizing and planning of calendar events and help with social media opportunities.
Provide leadership in the curriculum selection for Small Group Bible Studies (Sunday School). Provide leadership in the curriculum selection of Discipleship classes.
Be able to work with youth and children’s leaders in planning, coordinating strategies, and creating ideas thatpliment and overlap children, youth, and young adult ministries.
Work with pastor and ministry leaders to develop strategies for reaching the lost (outreach). develop strategies for local, North American, and International missions and church planting (outreach).
Provide leadership and training for discipleship, evangelism, fellowship, worship, and ministry opportunities for next gen ministry leaders.
Establish meaningful personal relationships with the families of the congregation andmunity.
