Worship Pastor Excel Church – Marietta, GA (Atlanta Metro) Full-Time | In-Person Only Church Overview Excel Church began as a Spirit-led movement called Alert Coming Home in Cuba, carrying a strong apostolic foundation with a mandate for rapid expansion and Kingdom advancement. Located in the vibrant city of Atlanta, Excel is a fast-paced, forward-moving church built around divine assignments, not traditional systems. Our heartbeat is Life to the Max (John 10:10), equipping and sending disciples to impact every sphere with Kingdom culture. Role Summary The Worship Pastor will serve as a team-first, worship-second leader, contributing to the broader mission of Excel Church through Spirit-led worship and collaborative leadership. This individual must carry a passion for God s presence, a high level of musical proficiency, and a willingness to flow in a non-traditional, apostolic environment. The role includes leading worship, recruiting and developing volunteer musicians, and collaborating with the Lead Pastor, who is actively involved in directing rehearsals. Key Responsibilities Plan, lead, and oversee all worship elements for Sunday gatherings, midweek events, and special services. Participate in weekly Monday night team meetings and maintain a flexible weekly schedule. Develop and disciple a high-capacity volunteer team of vocalists, musicians, and tech staff. Organize and lead rehearsals with excellence, spiritual unity, and alignment with the church s vision. Introduce and rotate new music fitting the church s sound (Chris Brown/Elevation Worship meets Todd Galberth). Oversee stage presence, transitions, and platform ministry in coordination with other team leads. Support other church functions and initiatives as needed-job descriptions are fluid and team members serve broadly. Ideal Candidate Profile Ministry Style & Culture Fit Spiritually mature, obedient, and ready to move with apostolic speed and flexibility. Comfortable in a structure-light environment where divine assignments drive decision-making. Committed to team-based leadership, peer collaboration, and direct input from the Lead Pastor. A servant-leader with the humility to support wherever needed-not seeking personal platform or visibility. Musical & Worship Qualifications Skilled in both CCM and Gospel styles. Strong vocal leadership with the ability to develop other worship leaders. Capable musician (preferred: guitar or keys). Deep sensitivity to the presence of God and ability to lead others into authentic worship. Appearance & Platform Expectations Modern, modest, and approachable style (no suits or performance-focused looks). No personal ministry platforms (e.g., podcasting, independent music careers). Social media presence should reflect unity with church values-no controversial posts or spiritual commentary outside church oversight. Qualifications Minimum 2 years of experience leading worship in a Spirit-filled, contemporary church environment. Strong communication and leadership skills. Ability to align quickly with the Lead Pastor s direction during rehearsals and services. Willingness to commit to long-term service within the Excel Church vision.

Compensation & Benefits Salary:
