Job Description
Hospice Chaplain 2.6 2.6 out of 5 stars 590 Medical Park Drive, Marshall, NC 28753 The Hospice Chaplain provides spiritual and emotional support to patients and their families at the Hospice, as well as to members of the Hospice team. They serve as consultants to Hospice team members: Provide spiritual and emotional support to the patient/family when requested. Provide continuing support as needed to the family during bereavement. Act as a consultant to other members of the Hospice team as needed. Function as a member of the Hospice team, including team conferences when possible. Attend basic Hospice training program and receive orientation to Hospice philosophy as needed. Assist in volunteer training and continuing education as requested. Complete and timely documentation. Maintain confidentiality at all times.
Education and Experience Education:
Be an ordained minister within his/her respective denomination and/or other specific training in ministry or spiritual care.
Experience:
Two years’ experience in ministry is preferred. Be personally committed to the Hospice concept.
Other:
Valid N.C. A driver’s license and dependable transportation for travel is required in this position.
