Job Summary:

Trinity Baptist Church, a growing SBC congregation in Knoxville, TN, seeks a Youth and Education Pastor to lead and oversee our student ministry (PreK-12). The Youth and Education Pastor will focus on spiritual growth, event planning, and organizational oversight, providing strategic leadership for the next generation of our church. This role involves discipling and equipping students, overseeing ministry programs, and handling essential responsibilities to ensure the success of our student ministry.

Primary Responsibilities:

Collaborate closely with Senior Pastor and other staff members. Support the teaching and preaching ministry of the church as needed (occasional sermons, services, etc.). Provide leadership and vision for our entire student ministry (PreK-12). Build relationships with students, families, and teachers, offering support and discipleship. Manage and support volunteers within the Children’s Team (PreK-5) and Youth Group (grades 6-12). Oversee discipleship and evangelism programs to nurture spiritual growth. Manage the teaching curriculum and educational materials used by the church Plan and oversee major student ministry events and programs. Maintain up-to-date records of student leaders and volunteers, ensuring background checks are completed. Manage the student ministry budget, track purchases, and ensure resources are used effectively. Develop and distribute a yearly student ministry calendar and monthly newsletter and ensure communication of upcoming events to students, families, and church members. Maintain accurate student information, including birthdays, contact details, and engagement records. Keep student announcements updated and track sign-ups for upcoming events.

Qualifications:

Professing believer and member in good standing at a local church. Agreement with the Baptist Faith and Message 2000 and Trinity Baptist Church’s Core Beliefs. Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills with a heart for student ministry. Experience in youth ministry and event coordination preferred.
