Description of Work •This role is eligible to be Hybrid and has onsite reporting located within Raleigh, NC •The Human Services Program Manager plays a key leadership role in advancing the strategic priorities of the Office of Health Equity (OHE). This position is responsible for program oversight, community engagement, training and education, fiscal and contract management, and supervision of program staff. The role involves coordinating with partners statewide—including community-based organizations, clinical providers, and other stakeholders—to support initiatives that address health disparities and improve access to care across North Carolina. Operating within a public health framework, the Program Manager ensures compliance with grant and budgetary requirements, develops meaningful partnerships, and supports the implementation of evidence-based health strategies. The ideal candidate will bring experience in supervising teams, fostering community collaboration, and translating data and research into operational strategies that promote optimal health outcomes.
Key Duties Include:
Provide consultation and technical assistance to community groups, clinical providers, and partner organizations statewide. Develop and implement training and education opportunities that promote health equity and measure the effectiveness of strategies and initiatives. Manage daily operations of the program, including workflows, resource allocation, and compliance with grants, budgets, and deadlines. Respond to fiscal and operational requests from oversight offices, ensuring proper documentation and timely resolution. Oversee and manage contracts, including performance monitoring, reporting, amendments, and compliance with state and federal regulations. Serve as a primary liaison to community partners and stakeholders; coordinate engagement activities to support program goals. Foster collaborative partnerships to support the department’s health equity framework. Supervise program staff, set work priorities, conduct performance evaluations, and coordinate professional development opportunities. Stay informed of emerging data, trends, research, and best practices related to health equity and access to care. Provide strategic insights to guide planning and improve program outcomes.
